Joanna Park-Tonks

Joanna Park-Tonks founded Eclipse Innovation Ltd. 2006 in Cambridge, UK. Joanna is committed to providing inspired and applicable research which drives client's profitability and sales. She is a skilled primary researcher with over 9 years experience in qualitative market research and consultancy. She believes that value can be added to a client's understanding of a market by eliciting non-published data by interviews with business people, journalists and academics and interpreting what this means for the client's business. Joanna interviews in German, Italian, French and English.

Joanna first developed her qualitative research skill-set at a technical market research firm in the Cambridge Innovation Cluster, where she responsible for Primary Research for European in European markets. Formal training and consulting experience were gained at as a Marketing and Communications Consultant at Accenture, in a variety of Change Management and communication roles in Holland, India and the UK. Joanna further honed her influencing and communication techniques whilst engaged as International PR Co-coordinator for De Beers in Milan and London, organising a number of high-profile media events.

Arthur Weiss

Arthur is an MBA, and Chartered Marketer with the UK's Chartered Institute of Marketing. He has written papers on competitive intelligence, the Internet and marketing related issues that have appeared in a variety of publications.

He has lectured widely on competitive intelligence topics in the UK, US, Europe, China, South Africa and the Middle East, and regularly leads training seminars focusing on competitive intelligence.

He currently also teaches the Marketing Research and Information module of the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Advanced Diploma in Marketing at Thames Valley University. Arthur was General Editor, Croner’s Marketing, ‘A Practical Management Guide’ published in 1996 and contributed chapters on Competitor Analysis and Marketing Planning.

Between 1984 and 1995 Arthur worked for Dun & Bradstreet Europe, where he served as D&B's European Marketing Information manager responsible for the co-ordination of competitive intelligence and analysis activity throughout D&B's European region.

Michelle Beckett

Michelle Beckett is a Senior Analyst for Eclipse Innovation based in the North of England, with 11 years experience in the fields of competitive research, HR consulting, headhunting and training across industry. She has worked as a freelance analyst for various business intelligence consulting firms over the last 5 years. Michelle has extensive experience of company mapping projects and generalist strategic analysis, and her many years as a headhunter has enabled her to develop an extensive global network of business contacts to call upon for primary research purposes.

 

Michelle has a BA (Hons) in English & Theatre Studies from Lancaster University.

Barbara Geyer-Hayden

Barbara has more than 8 years experience in the field of Knowledge Management. During this time she has been engaged by the Albertina Museum in Vienna, Eurocontrol, Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, Ovitas in Hungary, Wienerberger and many other companies.

Within Knowledge Management, Barbara’s theoretical specialism is Library & Information Science. Barbara lectures in this field at numerous universities of applied science in Austria. Barbara has deep skills in user and content oriented software design and the translation of user and client needs into technical specifications. In particular, her professional interests include, Knowledge Organisation & Visualisation, Information Architecture and the Semantic Web.

Paul Holliday

Paul Holliday MA DipM is a veteran of client-side Competitive Intelligence, having held market and strategy analyst roles for Travelport, Siemens Enterprise Communications and the Royal Mail over the past 14 years. His experience spans travel, technology, IT and Communications (ICT) distribution, logistics and postal services.

Proficient in both interviewing and desk research, Paul is expert in setting up internal CI systems, using CRM, sales and market data sources. Paul specialises in using information from research, market data and customer feedback to create outstanding Thought Leadership articles, whitepapers and blogs.

Jeremy Rigall

Jeremy has considerable experience in competitive intelligence, commercial due diligence and strategy consultancy. He has completed several projects in healthcare and pharma.

At AMR International a leading due diligence consultancy, he advised private equity companies on acquisition, completing full commercial due diligence within a short time frame. Jeremy has dual French/English nationality and is bilingual in French. Jeremy previously spent 2 years in France working for Ernst & Young.

Raphael Stelzer

Raphael is an active commercial pilot and aviation consultant. In the last years he had worked on several projects for German and European aviation firms. These partners were mainly from the cargo and business aviation sector, but he also supported flight training organizations. With his long term experience in web analyses he had helped several companies to improve their web activities.

Since early 2004 he had also run different research and consulting projects for German and European capital investors. His special field are time critical analyses of the market and technological potential of start-up enterprises. These companies come from various branches for example the renewable energy sector, the tourist industry, the automotive engineering and of course the commercial aviation.

For his research work, he uses Web 2.0. based research and analysis methods, but also classical techniques. Due to his considerable market research experience in a lot of different sectors, he has built up a huge specialist’s network from several branches. He creates reports and presentations according to evidence based methods with the target of a clear and objective statement. Furthermore he offers help during the optimization of company procedures and workflows. The main focus of his optimization activities is the implementation of aviation standards (i.e. checklists, standard operating procedures and human resource management) into other failure critical branches like medicine or security and safety engineering.

Raphael is fluent in German and English. In the moment he is based in the vicinity of Frankfurt.
